Terms of service of Steam News

These terms cover the use of the Discord bot Steam News#2585 in a legally binding way. Capitalized words are defined in the relevant dedicated section of this document.

The User must read this document carefully.

"The Bot" refers to the Discord bot Steam News#2585.
"The User", "You" refer to... you!
"We", "Us", "I", "me", "Morgz", "The Owner" refer to the Owner. Which is me. "me" refers to Jules Renton--Epinette because I assume I do have to tell my real name at some point.
"Steam" refers to the SteamĀ® game distribution platform, owned by Valve Corporation.

We are not affiliated with Steam nor Valve Corporation. Please refer to Steam's own terms of service if You intent to use Steam.

Terms of use

Acceptable use

The intended use of The Bot is to send news from Steam games, and information aboud said games, into Discord channels.

If You somehow find a way to use The Bot for nefarious purposes, we believe You should be allowed to do so, barring the following exceptions:

Warranty

The Bot is provided "AS-IS", WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. The Bot may glitch, crash, go offline, speak French, or generally cease to function for any reason, including (but not limited to) power outages, the gods of computers being mad at me, or my own inability to write computer code properly.

I WILL attempt to fix any issue with The Bot that come to my attention, but I do not guarantee to do so in any fashion of time or quality.

The Owner also reserves the right to break The Bot for any reason whatsoever, including (but not limited to) spite, bankrupcy, and death.

Liability for provided content

Neither Us nor The Bot are the authors of the content provided by The Bot. That content is pulled from Steam, through its public API. We are not liable for any unlawful content emanating from Steam.

Pricing

The use of The Bot is absolutely free of charge. If anyone attempts to charge You for using The Bot, you may sue them with a confidence trick charge (or whatever your country calls it)

In France, confidence tricks ("escroquerie") are covered by article 313-1 of the Penal Code.
